Throughout my healing journey, I was trying to find ways to calm my mind and treat my insomnia without the use of medication. I've tried melatonin to help me sleep throughout the night, and it didn't work.

Then, I came across AMSR YouTube videos that helps people relax and fall asleep faster. I found different types of AMSR videos on the platform, and watched a lot of them to see which videos helped me fall asleep.

I later found the following types of ASMR videos that helped me: (real person and soft spoken)

  • Scalp checks
  • HEENT exams (Head/scalp, Eyes, Ears, Nose, Throat)
  • Skin exams

Here are the profiles of the ASMR artists I watch to help me relax and fall asleep:

Whenever I woke up from nightmares and couldn't fall asleep, I found the following videos that helped:

  • White noise: improving sleep quality, masking distracting sounds, and potentially reducing stress and promoting relaxation. It can also be helpful for individuals with tinnitus, ADHD, or those who find silence unsettling
  • Brown noise: neutral, dense sound characterized by a rumbling, bass-like tone that emphasizes lower frequencies. It's similar to white noise but with a deeper, more gravelly quality, often described as sounding like steady rainfall or a strong waterfall.
